Answer

How long does it take to set up a desert camp?

A standard desert camp for up to 100 guests is built in six to eight hours on the event day. Larger productions with staging, AV and branded fabrication need a full build day before, and weddings or galas above 250 guests typically use a two-day build plus a rehearsal window.

Build timelines by scale

Small private dinners are same-day builds finishing two hours before guest arrival, which leaves a buffer for lighting checks and a service walkthrough.

Anything with rigged truss, LED walls or a fabricated entrance arch needs the site the day before. Fabrication itself runs ten to fourteen days upstream of that.

Teardown and site restoration

Teardown starts after the last guest departs and completes the following morning. The site is restored to open desert, which is a licence condition as well as a house rule.
