We collect only what is needed to answer you and to run the site.

• Enquiries. Name, email, phone number, event type, guest count, preferred date and any message you write, when you submit a form or message us.
• Marketing source. The page you landed on, the referring site, UTM campaign tags in the link you clicked, and a device type (mobile, tablet or desktop). This is attached to an enquiry so we know which page or campaign it came from.
• Technical and usage data. Collected by Google tags (see Cookies and analytics): approximate location, browser, pages viewed and interactions.
• Business contact details. For companies we contact about event services, we hold a work name, role, company and business email, taken from public sources or from you.
• Messages. What you send us by email, WhatsApp or phone, and our replies.

We do not knowingly collect data from children. We do not ask for payment card details through this website.

• To reply to your enquiry, prepare a proposal and plan your event.
• To run and improve the website and measure which pages and campaigns work.
• To send business emails about our services to companies we think are relevant, with a working unsubscribe link in every message.
• To meet legal, safety, insurance and accounting obligations.

We rely on your request (when you ask us for a quote), our legitimate interest in running and promoting a business and keeping the site secure, legal obligations, and consent where the law requires it, for example for non-essential cookies and some marketing. You can withdraw consent at any time.

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers acting for us, and when the law requires:

• Hosting and database. Cloudflare (website hosting) and Supabase (database that stores enquiries).
• Email. Resend and Brevo, to send notifications and business email.
• Analytics and advertising. Google, through its tags.
• Event delivery. Suppliers, venues and transport partners who need your details to deliver an event you have booked, limited to what they need.
• Authorities and advisers. Where required by law, or to our accountants, lawyers and insurers.

Some of these providers process data outside the UAE. Where they do, we rely on their contractual and security commitments to protect it.

After the page has loaded, the site loads Google tags (Google Ads and, where configured, Google Analytics). These use cookies and similar identifiers to measure visits and the performance of our advertising. The site also keeps a short-lived record of how you arrived (the attribution described above) in your browser session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use Google's opt-out tools, or use a browser that blocks trackers. The site works without them.

• Enquiries and event records: for as long as needed to plan and deliver the event, then for the period required for accounting, insurance and dispute purposes. Unconverted enquiries are normally deleted within about two years.
• Business contact data used for email: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
• Analytics data: according to the retention settings of the analytics provider.

Enquiries are stored in an access-controlled database with row-level security, and only authorised staff can read them. Traffic to the site is encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, so if we ever become aware of a breach that affects you we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

Under the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data and any other law that applies to you, you may ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your data, to move it, or to object to our use of it, and you may withdraw consent.

Email sparklingsandset@gmail.com. We may need to confirm who you are first, and we will reply within a reasonable time. To stop marketing email, use the unsubscribe link in any message or the unsubscribe page. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the UAE Data Office or the data protection authority where you live.

This site links to third-party platforms such as WhatsApp, Instagram and Airbnb. They have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for them.
