How far is the desert camp from Abu Dhabi airport?
Khayal Al Sahra Camp in Al Khatim is roughly 60 to 70 minutes by road from Zayed International Airport, about 50 minutes from central Abu Dhabi and around 90 minutes from Dubai. The drive is on sealed road except the final approach, which our 4x4 shuttle handles.
Transfer options
We coordinate coaches and 4x4 fleets from any hotel or terminal in Abu Dhabi or Dubai, with staggered departures for large groups and a marshal at both ends.
Guests never need to drive on sand. Vehicles park on a prepared hardstand and the last stretch is done in camp 4x4s.
Planning the run of day
For fly-in incentive groups we generally build in a hotel stop before the desert transfer rather than going terminal to camp, which gives guests a change and a rest and protects the arrival experience.
