What is the difference between a desert safari and a private desert event?
A desert safari is a shared, fixed-itinerary tour sold per seat at a camp you share with other groups. A private desert event is an exclusive buyout of the site for your guests only, with a bespoke programme, your own catering, décor, timings and entertainment, and no other visitors present.
Exclusivity and control
On a safari the operator sets the schedule, the menu and the show. On a private event you set all three, and the camp is closed to everyone else for the day and evening.
That exclusivity is also what makes weddings, brand launches and confidential corporate sessions possible. A shared camp cannot support any of them.
Cost framing
Safaris are priced per head and start low. Private events are priced as a production, so per-head cost falls as the guest list grows. Around forty to sixty guests, a private buyout often compares favourably with a premium per-seat safari once food and drink are matched.
