Yes. Private events in the Abu Dhabi desert require a site permit, and additional approvals apply for licensed bar service, pyrotechnics, drone filming and amplified music after certain hours. Working through a licensed camp operator means the permits, HSE documentation and public liability insurance are handled on your behalf.
What is covered as standard
Site permits, HSE documentation, public liability cover and crew labour compliance are handled in house for every event we run. Government and corporate clients receive a full risk assessment, method statement and insurance certificates ahead of the date.
What needs separate approval
Licensed bar service is arranged through a licensed F&B partner. Drone filming needs aviation clearance, and pyrotechnics need a specialist contractor plus civil defence sign-off. Each of these adds one to three weeks to the timeline.
Filming for commercial release, whether stills or video, generally needs a media permit. Personal photography by guests does not.
