People search for events in Fujairah today, this weekend, this year. A planner needs a longer view. For events held in hotels, the weather matters less than demand, availability and price.

Climate in brief

The east coast is more humid than the interior in summer and cooler in the evening than the Gulf coast. The Hajar mountains behind affect rain and wind. Indoor events are comfortable all year.

November to March

The best months for guest travel and the busiest for venues. Weddings and corporate events cluster here, as do the best performers and suppliers.

April and October

Warm but workable, with better availability and value.

May to September

Hot and humid outside, air-conditioned inside. Many planners avoid these months, so availability is better and prices are often lower.

Ramadan and National Day

Ramadan changes timings and menus, and evening gatherings are significant. National Day on 2 December is the busiest date. Plan early.

A simple planning guide

  • Peak season: four to six weeks for a standard format, longer for large events.
  • Shoulder months: two to four weeks.
  • Summer: three weeks, and ask for off-peak rates.
