Planning guest travel

Sharjah is 25 to 40 minutes from Abu Dhabi Corniche via the E11 and E311, and 25 to 35 minutes from Downtown Dubai via the E611, the shortest guest travel of any location we cover. We send a guest travel card with the save-the-date and size ceremonies from 40 to 500 guests.

The ceremony and reception setup

The bridal setup is a raised dune-top aisle, a mirrored stage and a 300-cover reception tent. Sharjah has little open desert near the city itself, so we host from a partner site along the Sharjah-Al Dhaid desert corridor and truck in our Al Khatim furniture and kitchen setup a day ahead.

Permits for a wedding in Sharjah

Sharjah bookings route through Shurooq (the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority) for sites under its tourism remit, or Sharjah Municipality for civil defense and amplified sound elsewhere. Sites near the Mleiha reserve boundary need an added Environment and Protected Areas Authority sign-off, which Shurooq flags automatically for anything east of the Sharjah-Al Dhaid road.

Photography locations nearby

We favor Al Majaz Waterfront for sunset ceremony light, and Al Noor Island the next morning for family portraits, a backdrop that reads distinctly local rather than generic desert.

FAQ

Quick answers

How far is the desert site from Sharjah?

25 to 40 minutes from Abu Dhabi Corniche via the E11 and E311; 25 to 35 minutes from Downtown Dubai via the E611. We send a location brief with photographs of the actual site, not stock desert imagery, so a procurement or planning team can sign off without a site visit.

How many guests can you host for a desert wedding near Sharjah?

We build for 2 to 500 guests. Every booking is a private buyout of the site, so the layout is sized to your group rather than shared with walk-in visitors.

Do you handle the permits?

Sharjah bookings route through the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) for any site under its tourism development remit, with Sharjah Municipality handling the standard civil defense and amplified sound clearance for sites outside Shurooq-managed land. Sites bordering the desert conservation areas near the Mleiha reserve boundary need an additional Environment and Protected Areas Authority sign-off, which Shurooq flags automatically for any booking east of the Sharjah-Al Dhaid road.

What does the price include?

A desert weddings in sharjah quote is all-in: setup and strike, catering, entertainment, crew, permits and transfers are itemised in one proposal. We do not add per-head surcharges after the fact. Send your date, headcount and objective and we return a costed proposal within 24 hours.

What is the best time of year to book?

October through April is the comfortable window for daytime programmes. Between May and September we shift to evening starts, add cooling and shade, and keep the agenda inside tented cover, summer bookings run well when the timings are built for the heat rather than against it.
