Khayal Al Sahra Camp is Sparkling Sandset's permanent luxury desert venue in Al Khatim, Barma North — set inside a private dune corridor that we've operated since 2012. Unlike shared desert tour camps, the entire site is reserved for one booking at a time. Whether you're hosting a 20-guest intimate wedding or a 500-delegate corporate gala, your event is the only event on the property.
The camp is built around permanent infrastructure — a main majlis pavilion, climate-controlled dining tent, full commercial kitchen, branded washroom blocks, a bridal suite, a main stage, and dune-side ceremony platforms — supplemented every event with custom décor, florals, lighting, and entertainment. Everything is fully customisable: layouts, themes, menus, ceremony elements, branding, AV, and entertainment are designed from scratch for each booking.
The camp is best suited for large group events where exclusivity, scale, and end-to-end production matter — desert weddings, corporate hospitality, government and embassy receptions, family milestone celebrations, fashion and brand productions, and bespoke retreats.

Where is Khayal Al Sahra Camp located?+
Khayal Al Sahra Camp is in Al Khatim, Barma North, Abu Dhabi — about 50 minutes from Abu Dhabi city, 90 minutes from Dubai, and 60 minutes from Al Ain. It sits inside a protected dune corridor with no neighbouring properties, giving every booking complete privacy.
What kind of events is the camp best suited for?+
Large group events. Weddings (20–500 guests), corporate galas and product launches, family gatherings, milestone birthdays, government and embassy receptions, fashion shoots, and TV productions. The whole camp is reserved for one booking at a time — never shared with other groups.
How customisable is the camp?+
Fully. Layouts, décor themes, lighting, menu, entertainment, ceremony elements, and branding are all built around your event. The permanent infrastructure (majlis, dining pavilion, stage, kitchen, washrooms, bridal suite) stays in place; everything else is designed from scratch each time.
What's the maximum capacity?+
500 seated guests for a single coordinated event. Larger headcounts (up to 800 standing reception) are possible with extended dune-side layouts.
Is there permanent infrastructure or is everything temporary?+
Both. We operate a permanent luxury camp with majlis lounges, climate-controlled tents, a full commercial kitchen, branded washroom blocks, a bridal suite, and a main stage — supplemented by temporary structures (mandap, ceremony arches, lounge zones) styled per event.
What's included by default?+
Venue access, base lighting and sound, permanent majlis and dining seating for up to 200, washroom blocks, on-site security, parking, and an event coordinator. F&B, décor upgrades, entertainment, and transport are added per quote.
